Concrete Mold Release Agents
The construction industry is constantly striving towards the use of greener, cleaner and more sustainable products. Concrete mold release agents are used to prevent the adhesion of freshly placed concrete to a forming surface, whether that be plywood, steel or aluminium. Historically there are two-types of mold release agents, barrier and reactive. Barrier release agents form a physical barrier between the mold and concrete whereas reactive release agents undergo a reaction with the concrete to create soapy films that prevent adhesion to the mold. As the industry moves to greener technologies water-based formulations are now being used for their environmental benefits.
Our concrete mold release agent demonstrates the following characteristics:
0 g/L VOC and may contribute to LEED credits (EQ Credit 4.2)
Suitable for use with wide range of forms
Keeps molds clean by minimising concrete residues on molding form after de-molding
