Prisavon™: sodium soaps of fatty acids
The Prisavon™ range of granulated soaps from Croda offer superb handling and performance benefits in detergent and industrial applications. Their unique granule form gives excellent free-flowing properties and low dust, making handling, conveying and dosing much safer and easier than with conventional spray-dried powder soaps.
In liquid detergent and personal care products, they offer an attractive alternative to in-situ preparation of soaps, eliminating the handling of hot fatty acids and corrosive soda solutions. Additionally, Croda can pre-mix soap compositions, so reducing the number of raw materials you handle and the associated costs of stock.
Croda can tailor-make soaps to suit your application using a wide range of compositions:
- Soft soaps which dissolve readily in cold water and offer lubricating and oilemulsifying properties
- Detergent soaps for cleaning, softeningand foam control
- Long-chain soaps for use as water repellents and gelling agents
The Prisavon™ range of granulated soaps from Croda comply fully with the biodegradability criteria laid down in the European Detergents Directive EC 648/2004. Their unique granule form allows them to be post-dosed in any proportion in powder or tablet detergent formulations while retaining good homogeneity and free-flowing properties.Additionally, colorants, dyes and other additives may be incorporated into the granule; please discuss your requirements with your local Croda Sales Manager.
